VERSE 74
GIST
Samjaya said to the King Dhritaraaaht`ra:
"This is the wonderful and hair-raising conversation between Krishna and Arjuna (GREAT PERSONS), heard by me."
In this verse, three adjectives are important:
INTERPRETATION, DEDUCTIONS
1. Mahatmanaha = Great people. 2. Adbhutam = wonderful 3. Rooma harshan`am = hair-raising.
These words are not just fillers to complete the verse and its meter. The words prove the basic object of Gita. To present Krishna and Arjuna as great men. When great people talk, the discussions will become great (wonderful, hair-raising etc.).
COMMENTS
When Prince Charles, Rahul Gandhi or Aisvarya Roy marries it becomes a great event. If they beget children, the events will be greater. The media and epic-writers are made from same mould.
